The SAA179 LCD Monitor Arm provides excellent adjustability and effortlessly floats LCD and LED monitors as well hefty touchscreen monitors and even big 27” all-in-PCs and iMacs of all sizes. This very compact monitor arm has an angled forearm that preserves the full range of vertical travel as the user moves the arm through its full range of motion. When folded in on itself, positioned at or against the mounting surface, the SAA179 collapses to about 3.75" of depth. When mounted to a horizontal surface that stops the downward travel of the lifting arm, the SAA179 achieves 8" of vertical range (please see spec images below). When mounted to a pole or vertical surface where there are no obstructions, the downward movement of the lifting arm achieves its full range of vertical travel of nearly 10".   Using the 2” or 6” vertical extension option will allow the arm to achieve its full vertical transit of over 9.5”.  The triple articulating arm rotates 360° in the mount, elbow and tilter head. The tilter head mechanism tilts more than 200°. Maneuver a monitor with fingertip ease and achieve maximum mobility in a minimum of space.


Selecting the Flexible Mount Kit A supplies a highly configurable mounting kit that can be assembled as a clamp to desk edge mount, thru desk mount, wall mount, or box edge mount. Other more application specific mounts are available and provide alternative heavy duty, use appropriate and aesthetic solutions. The SAA179 easily handles monitors up to 30" (screen size measured diagonally). The LCD mounting arm is available in two standard weight ranges.  Contact Ergomart for assistance if your monitor weighs less than 5 pounds. There are considerable overlaps in weight ranges between tilter head styles. Determining the appropriate tilter can be a little tricky; consider the following: monitor thickness (touch-screens especially tend to be front heavy and thicker), frequency of tilt adjustment desired and/or the added use of a thin client holder or bracket between the monitor and tilter.

Thicker monitors and touch screens weighted more toward the front create a greater lever force on the tilter head. If you plan to adjust the tilt frequently, opt for the stronger tilter head as it is will be easier to back and forth with the spring assist. If you plan to put the monitor at a fixed tilted position and rarely change it, then a the standard tilter head will usually suffice. Adjustability of SAA179 LCD Monitor Arm

The SAA179 Articulating LCD Arm swivels at the elbow (middle joint) 360° and also rotates at the base a full 360°. Arm shown with desk mount option. Along with base and elbow joint adjustability, the monitor mount allows for easy and effortless landscape to portrait monitor rotation and left to right swivel.
