The AMT2018 mounts three monitors up to 11 pounds and up to 20" wide (from outside edge to outside edge) in an arc formation. The triple monitor arm functions by counterbalancing the weight of the monitors and allowing user to easily float the monitors into position.

IMPORTANT PURCHASING NOTES FOR LCD/LED MONITOR ARM PRODUCTS TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU BUY!
Determine the weight of the LCD/LED screen not including the OEM stand.
Determine whether or not your display has a VESA mount. 75x75mm or 100x100mm are most common, although some larger monitors will have 100x200mm or 200x200mm. Several models aren't VESA compatible! Call or email, we can help you figure out your options.
Double-link arms are usually preferable to single-link. Dual or double link radial style arms with three points of lateral articulation typically provide the greatest flexibility.
Generally speaking, a single-link LCD/LED Monitor arm does not allow for the independent adjustment of display distance and height. When using a single-link arm, if you want the screen closer, you will be forced to lower the arm. If you want the LCD/LED display further away, it will raise up as you push it away. That's really not ergonomic or properly adjustable. If you want maximum flexibility and adjustability, get a double-link or radial arm style LCD/LED arm. Yes, there are applications for the single-link and that is why we make them available. A single-link LCD/LED arm can be less visually obtrusive. And the single-link can be just the thing for a busy executive who needs to occasionally view the monitor in the seated posture. It is easy to turn the screen toward a guest for sharing information, and it opens up valuable desk space as well.
Mounting can be tricky, get the right information ahead of time and save yourself aggravation.
For freestanding desks, attachment is usually easy using a c-clamp type mount. There is no drilling or fancy tools needed, but just make sure your desk has enough of a lip (the distance between the table skirt or similar obstruction and the table edge). Our SAA products require about 2.75 inches of table to clamp to. If you have molding on the desk edge that tapers down, your desk may not be suitable for an edge clamp. Account for the attachment location (height) to determine what height positions will be available for viewing.
Most VESA compatible flat screen monitors have their connection squarely in the middle of the back of the LCD/LED, but some are lower or higher. This will have an impact on the height range performance of your LCD/LED arm. If you want your LCD/LED arm to give you the ability to sit or stand while you work, it is unlikely a single link arm will do the job. If your LCD/LED monitor does not have a VESA standard mounting configuration, call us and we'll work to provide you with a solution. |
