This monitor arm folds up to 3.75 inches from the wall out over 27 inches of full extension. The wire management allows the cords to be threaded through the entire arm, including the elbow swivel joint.

SIDE VIEW OF VERTICAL TRAVEL

The Ergomart SAA2718 LCD Arm has an available 17.9 inches of vertical travel. When the arm is wall mounted or mounted in such a manner that the lower part of the arm does not run into obstructions, full vertical range of 17.9 inches is possible.

When attached to a surface that impedes the vertical travel, the arm behaves as illustrated in the section below.

Use the SAA2718 without an extension for virtually all seated flat panel monitor viewing applications.

The desk edge clamp (without extensions) allows up to 11.5 inches vertical travel. The standard SAA2718 provides plenty of height adjustability for virtually any requirement for seated desk height use. Note that the center of the VESA mounting plate is 6.25 inches above the surface.

Ultimately, your vertical adjustability is in part dependant on where the LCD manufacturer has placed the VESA interface. If the distance from the bottom edge of the monitor to the middle of the VESA connection is less than 6.25", then the monitor will not touch the surface and will rise up about 11.5 inches.

Desk edge mount with 2inch extension allows up to 13.5 inches of vertical travel.

This extension provides 2 additional inches to the vertical travel when the base is elevated. The bottom of the monitor can rest on the surface or the monitor arm can be elevated up to 19.9'' above the surface. If the distance from the bottom edge of the monitor to the middle of the VESA connection is less than 6.25", then the monitor will not touch the surface and will have a vertical travel of about 13.5 inches.

Desk edge mount with 6 inch extension allows up to 17.5 inches of vertical travel.

This extension helps to provide more of the vertical travel that is available when the base is elevated up from the desk clamp. The bottom of the monitor display may rest on the surface or the monitor arm can be elevated up to 23.9" above the surface. This kind of vertical travel ensures that most people under 6' tall will be comfortable either sitting or standing. If the distance from the bottom edge of the monitor to the middle of the VESA connection is less than 6.25", then the monitor will not touch the surface and will have a vertical travel of about 17.5 inches.

Wall mounted options allow for the full 17.9 inches of vertical travel of the SAA2718 without any extensions.
