The CMD2018 combines the benefits of the compact SAA2018 monitor arm with the versatility of the CONNECT mounting beam to create an easily maneuverable, space saving solution for mounting two LCDs. Each monitor tilts, swivels and rotates individually on its tilter head mount. These can be placed anywhere along the 30” beam and can accommodate monitors up to 28.5” in width.

The monitor arm provides a maximum of 22.4” of reach, measured from the center of the mounting point of the unit to the back of the monitors. Fully folded inwards, the device will take only 7.2” of horizontal space. The total vertical range is 18” as long as travel is not restricted by an object such as a work surface. Optional vertical extensions are designed to maximize vertical travel when the CMD2018 is desk mounted.

Black is the standard color on this arm. Metallic Gray requires longer lead times. Please call for other color options.

VERTICAL ARM RANGE

If unobstructed by the work surface, the CMD2018 offers 18” of vertical travel.
ARM EXTENSION

When fully extended, the arm reaches out 23.5” and only takes up 8” when fully retracted.
ARM ROTATION

The arm rotates 360° at its mounting point, providing there are no obstructions.
BEAM ROTATION

The beam holding the two monitors rotates 360° at the point where it is attached to the arm, providing the arm is not below its horizontal position.
MOUNT POSITIONING

The tilter head mounts can be positioned anywhere along the CONNECT mounting beam. The attached monitors can measure up to 28.5” in width in landscape position.
SCREEN SWIVEL

Each monitor can independently swivel from left to right. Movement is only restricted by the monitor edge meeting the mounting beam.
SCREEN TILT

Each screen has 135° of available tilt - 90° upwards and 45° downwards.
SCREEN ROTATION

Each monitor can be quickly rotated from landscape to portrait and back again with a full 360° of rotation.

Side view of the CMD2018 when wall-mounted. The maximum vertical travel of the arm is 18” when free from any obstructions: 9” up from horizontal and 9” below. When placed straight out and horizontal from the mounting position, the arm reaches a maximum of 23.5”. At its highest and lowest position, the reach is reduced to 19.5”.

When desk-mounted, the full vertical movement of the arm can be restricted when the front pivot joint of the arm is stopped by a work surface. This can be rectified by adding an optional vertical extension. Without the extension, vertical travel is limited to 12.9”.

Table shows the vertical range of motion when when using various sizes of the available vertical extensions. Please refer to the drawings above for a visual representation of Minimum and Maximum Height on Desk. Note that the adjustability ranges may show some minor deviations of up to 0.25” from these specifications depending on the weight and dimensions of the payload and other practical considerations.

The two attached monitors can be placed anywhere along the 30” beam. If the monitors are placed at the edges of the beam the largest compatible monitor width is 28.5”.

Today many home and office workstations have at least two monitors. When the CMD2018 is arranged in a flat configuration, the maximum width of each equally sized monitor can be approximately 28.5 inches.

When the monitors of the CMD2018 are angled inwards, the maximum allowable width of the displays is approximately 27 inches, (assuming two inch deep monitors).

100x200mm Flat VESA Plate with Hardware

The 100 x 200 mm VESA adaptor is compatible with certain larger monitors. It is used to attach the monitor to an Ergomart tilter head, present in all SAA, SA, and LS arms and mounts. If your monitor has a recessed VESA attachment point, you may also need an Ergomart VESA spacer kit, available below in the accessories tab.

This large VESA bracket is intended for mounting a monitor or TV with a 200x200 mm, 100x200 mm, or 120x180 mm hole pattern. The central hole patterns are 50x50 mm, 75x75 mm, and 100x100 mm, enabling this bracket to attach to the mounting location (e.g. an Ergomart Tilter Head) using a VESA 75/100 adaptor.

The large 200x400 mm VESA adaptor plate supports 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm and 200 mm square patterns, as well as 100x200 mm, 120x180 mm, 200x300 mm and 200x400 mm rectangular patterns. In some cases an additional 75 or 100 mm VESA adaptor is needed to interface the 200 x 400 mm VESA plate to the mounting location.

Heavy-Duty Mount Adapter Plate 100x300 to 400x600mm

The extra large MSU4X6 VESA adaptor bracket attaches to a wide range of VESA patterns from 100x300 mm up to 400x600 mm. The hole patterns on the central plate allow it to be mounted to tilter heads or wall mounts, often using an additional smaller VESA plate (e.g., 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 200 mm or 100x200 mm) in between.

FAQs

Do both of my monitors need to be the same size and weight to use this product?

No, however their total weight needs to be less than 24 pounds. The total width of the two monitors must be less than 54 inches if you require 10 degrees of inward tilt or 56.5 inches if monitors are aligned on the same plane. IMPORTANT NOTE: Different monitors will often not center the same when placed side by side based on their VESA hole pattern locations.
Do you offer a longer horizontal bar/beam for wider monitors?

We do not offer a standard beam that is wider but additional extensions may be added under some circumstances. Speak with an Ergomart Sales and customer support technician for assistance.
Can I slide the monitors horizontally on the connect beam while they are mounted?

The mounts that hold the monitors on the rail are not meant to be instantly adjusted, however, once the monitor is removed they slide easily for readjustment.
