Ergomart's ADJ1430 Dual Monitor bracket is a heavy-duty and economical solution that allows users to attach two monitors to a single monitor arm or stand. One of its applications is as an economical option for adding a second screen to a workstation on a height adjustable arm. Both monitors will move up and down, tilt and swivel together. Three sizes of separate sliding VESA adapters for each monitor allow monitors of various sizes and styles to be centered on the same mount. In a side-by-side arrangement, the bracket easily handles monitors up to 30" wide when measured from outside edge to outside edge. The two screens can also be arranged in a top/bottom configuration. The bracket supports the landscape orientation, the portrait orientation or a combination of the two.

  • Can I mount two monitors of different sizes?

Yes and No. There are multiple issues to check before ordering: You can definitely place two monitors of different sizes on a dual monitor bracket. The issue is usually vertical alignment. If you want both monitors centered in relation to one another, then make sure both monitors have VESA hole patterns that are either perfectly centered or happen to be off-center by a similar ratio. To understand how they will actually align, carefully place both monitors face down (stands removed) and find the vertical centers of those monitors and determine if the VESA mounts are centered on the back of both units. Some users will want to align monitors along the bottom. This is an even trickier proposition. It will be sheer luck if you find two different size monitors with VESA hole patterns on the back that actually meet your desire for bottom allignment. Again, lay the monitors face down to understand how they will align. Please also see the FAQ relating to differing monitor weights.

  • Can I mount two monitors of different weights?

Monitors of differing wieghts can be placed on our dual bracket as long as the difference in weight is not too great. It is best to speak with technical support at Ergomart and let us help determine the appropriateness of monitors that are greater than 4 pounds different in wieght. The heavier monitor may need to be placed closer to the center to align the center of gravity with the center of the dual bracket.

  • Can I mount two monitors with different VESA hole patterns?

Yes but you will need to determine if the alignment of the two will be acceptable. To understand how they will actually align, carefully place both monitors face down (stands removed) and find the vertical centers of those monitors and you can see how they align since the center of the VESA hole patterns will be on the same horizontal plane. Please also see the FAQ relating to differing monitor weights.

  • Are there any Ergomart arms this wouldn't be compatible with?

As long as the weight capacity of an arm supports the load of the monitors being mounted, this dual monitor bracket is an option.

  • Do the monitors have individual tilt when mounted on the Dual Bracket?

The monitors will not tilt individually, they will tilt as one.

  • When mounted on a BB103, will the monitors shake when I type?

All BB103 monitor keyboard arms are subject to some degree of movement and rebound when keying. Adding the ADJ1430 dual bracket will not increase the movement or shakiness of the overall solution. The added weight of the additional monitor and bracket will increase the "inertia" present within the entire assembly. A heavy body at rest is more difficult to move than a lighter body.

  • Will I be able to tilt my monitors up and down?

Yes, both monitors can be tilted up and down simultaneously when the dual bracket is attached to a tilter mechanism. Usually the total payload (monitors and dual bracket) will be heavy enough to require the use of an HD Tilter head (TILTER-HDS).
