Our standard FS10 UV filters are available for T8 and T12 lamps. These tough polycarbonate sleeves are equipped with end caps to prevent UV leakage at the ends of the lamp.

Sleeves slip over fluorescent lamps and are designed to last up to 10 years. The FS10 is a cost effective product for protecting documents and materials in libraries. If you are a value driven purchaser and simply need UV protection for your office, grocery store (dairy / meat department), or retail store—this is the product. Our per case pricing represents some of the lowest prices available anywhere for standard UV fluorescent light filtering.

FAQs

Will these reduce glare?

The FS10 will certainly eliminate the harmful UV wavelengths. They will mitigate the glare in so far as simply placing filters over the bulb reduces the light output by about 15%.
What does HO stand for?

HO in this case stands for High Output, and refers to fluorescent lamps with higher wattages than those of standard fluorescent lights.
Why are these not recommended for high-output lights?

High output lights generally create more heat than is acceptable for the polycarbonate material.
Can I cut the tube filters myself to 2 feet in length?

Yes, we advise using large, sharp industrial scissors, hack saw or a fine tooth band saw. In this case you will need to order extra end caps.
Do these decrease light more or less than the full spectrum light filters?

The FS10 Fluorescent light filters protect against UV light that falls below 380 nanometers in wavelength, which is all UVB and a majority of UVA radiation. However, some UVA radiation falls between 380nm - 400nm, so there is a slight gap in filtration. If full UVA filtration is desired, the F685 Fluorescent light filters would be the product of choice.
