The impressive CONNECT-44 manages eight monitors in a dual-tier, four-over-four configuration. If the monitors are all equal in size, the stand can accommodate screens with a maximum of 24.67 inches in width and weighing up to 30 pounds each. When being assembled, each of the horizontal beams can be attached at any height along the 33 inch central vertical column. The monitors can be attached anywhere along the horizontal beams and each monitor can be individually swiveled and tilted as well as rotated between landscape and portrait. On each tier, the outer horizontal beams can be tilted inwards to create an arc shape. Wires are kept clean and out of the way by routing the cables along the back of the stand. The stand can be mounted to a surface using either a clamp on the edge or through the desk itself.
The CONNECT-44 is the largest CONNECT offering, but there are many other configurations from anywhere to two to six (in a 3-over-3 set-up) monitors. Due to the modularity of the CONNECT system, a smaller stand could later be reconfigured to a CONNECT-44, or any other larger system, reusing most of the original parts. This ability to expand and adjust in the future is optimal for those with evolving needs.
Motorized Height Adjustment
The CONNECT-44 can be purchased with electrical motorized column. With the press of a button all eight monitors can be moved up or down by up to 10 inches, allowing the multi-monitor setup to accommodate multiple users of different heights working at the same workstation. The motorized column is capable of moving a total weight of 150 pounds. Taking into account the weights of the system components, the maximum per-monitor weight for the Motorized Height-Adjustable Connect-44 is 11 lbs.
|Connect-44 Shipping Weights and Dimensions|
|Static Column||box1: 39 lb, 41"x15"x15", box2&3: 18 lb, 39"x14"x6"|
|Motorized Column||box1: 20 lb, 40"x13"x6", box2&3: 36 lb, 40"x14"x12"|
|Clamp Mount||adds 7 lb to box1|
The four-over-four monitor configuration of the CONNECT-44 is a dual-tier arrangement. Each tier includes one 30 inch beam and two 20 inch beams, one attached to each side of the center beam. Hinges are located between the central beam and the two articulating expansion beams. The user can adjust the beams in a flat "wall" layout or in an "arc" form.
Static columns are used to mount the horizontal beams. Each beam can be placed anywhere along its height during installation. The dual static column is 33.5 inches in height.
The motorized column is an optional feature. It enables up to 10 inches of simultaneous height adjustment for all monitors when the button located at the base is pressed.
Each monitor can be slid anywhere along its beam. With four identical monitors and the three beams perfectly aligned, the CONNECT-44 configuration can have two tiers of four monitors with each monitor up to 24.67 inches in width in landscape mode.
The two-tier setup is popular in security and waiting areas. The Connect-44’s eight monitors can be aligned in a flat configuration enabling each display’s maximum width to be approximately 24.67 inches.
The Connect-44 has outer beams that can be angled inward to achieve a curved array of displays Assuming a two inch deep monitor, the maximum allowable width is approximately 22 inches for each display when the beams are angled 20 degrees inward. For wider monitors, extensions are available. Consult an Ergomart representative to determine if the application is appropriate for extensions.
The side view of the single tier configuration illustrates the depths measurements that are characteristic of dual tier Connect models. It shows the depth of the VESA mounting plane in relation to other points. The 8.5 inches notation specifically refers to the distance between the back edge of a work surface abutting the back of the clamp and the mounting point of the monitor.
The 100 x 200 mm VESA adaptor is compatible with certain larger monitors. It is used to attach the monitor to an Ergomart tilter head, present in all SAA, SA, and LS arms and mounts. If your monitor has a recessed VESA attachment point, you may also need an Ergomart VESA spacer kit, available below in the accessories tab.
This large VESA bracket is intended for mounting a monitor or TV with a 200x200 mm, 100x200 mm, or 120x180 mm hole pattern. The central hole patterns are 50x50 mm, 75x75 mm, and 100x100 mm, enabling this bracket to attach to the mounting location (e.g. an Ergomart Tilter Head) using a VESA 75/100 adaptor.
The large 200x400 mm VESA adaptor plate supports 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm and 200 mm square patterns, as well as 100x200 mm, 120x180 mm, 200x300 mm and 200x400 mm rectangular patterns. In some cases an additional 75 or 100 mmVESA adaptor is needed to interface the 200 x 400 mm VESA plate to the mounting location.
The extra large MSU4X6 VESA adaptor bracket attaches to a wide range of VESA patterns from 100x300 mm up to 400x600 mm. The hole patterns on the central plate allow it to be mounted to tilter heads or wall mounts, often using an additional smaller VESA plate (e.g., 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 200 mm or 100x200 mm) in between.
This VESA 1/4-Inch Spacer Kit allows monitors with VESA hole locations that are recessed by 1/4" or less to be attached to an Ergomart VESA plate.
This VESA 1/2-Inch Spacer Kit allows monitors with VESA hole locations that are recessed by 1/2" or less to be attached to an Ergomart VESA plate.
