With its substantial range of vertical motion of 18 inches and generous tilt, this keyboard tray and arm combo is ideal for many work environments. The TRP2718D frees up workspace and offers sit-to-stand adjustability. It accommodates two displays up to 8 pounds each. Both the arm and the tray can rotate 360 degrees and the monitors and tray can be tilted at different angles. Great wire management allows for cabling to be routed conveniently through the arm just above the mount. The arm can reach out up to over 26 inches but folds away to a mere 8.5 inches from the wall when not in use. The brake and vertical travel limiter option allows for securing of the vertical position and limits on reach so as to not interfere with other workspace equipment.

This workstation is also available as the TRP2718S Monitor and Keyboard Arm that mounts a single monitor up to 18 pounds.

The TRP2718D shown in its highest position with the ADJ1430 dual monitor bracket. Each side of the keyboard tray has a handle that can be pulled outward, allowing for the mouse platform to be placed to either the left or right of the keyboard platform.

Backbar Mounting Locations

The backbar assembly features several options for configuring the relative height of the keyboard and monitor. There are three 1.9” square patterns that can be used to mount the backbar in high, medium and low positions on the tilter head. Most installations work best with the tilter attached to the lowest point on the backbar. This is the preferred position because it reduces the stress on the tilter head component. It will also allow for the most vertical travel before the keyboard tray stops when it rests on the surface when desk-mounted.

There are two 75 mm VESA-compatible mounting locations for the dual monitor bracket, allowing the monitors to be placed at 11.2" or 13.1" from the keyboard tray.

This set of drawings illustrates the three positions available on the backbar for mounting it on the tilter head, shown independently from the rest of the mounting assembly. These three positions allow the user to select the relative height of the workstation with respect to the mounting point. Note that in all three illustrations, the dual monitor bracket is in the high position, placing the monitors 13.1" above the keyboard tray.

The TRP2718D has a maximum forward reach of 26” from the center of the arm's mounting pin to the front surface of the backbar. The distance to the front of the VESA plate will vary, depending on the mounting bracket used and the position of the monitors along the horizontal slots in the backbar. The the front of the keyboard tray extends an additional 13.6” from the backbar. These measurements are relative to the center of the mounting pin which is compatible with the mounting kits in the SERIES-118 catalog. Please refer to the specific mounting kit measurements you are interested in to find out the geometry in the context of your configuration.

Height Adjustment

This side view illustrates the height adjustment of the TRP2718D with the tilter attached to the lowest position and the dual bracket in the high position, placing the monitors 13.1" above the keyboard platform. The arm provides 18" of total height adjustment and can move 8.8" up and 9.2" down relative to the horizontal position. At the top of the range, the front surface of the backbar extends to 22.5”, while at the bottom of the range it extends to 22.1". The keyboard tray reaches an additional 13.6”. At its highest setting, the center of the dual monitor bracket is at 21.6” above the top surface of the SERIES-118 mount kit. Several options for configuring the relative height of the monitor and keyboard tray are described in additional drawings. Note that when desk-mounted, the arm’s downward movement will be limited by the worksurface. The use of a vertical extension restores the full range of movement.

Full Retraction

This side view illustrates the maximum retraction of the TRP2718D, with the arm folded so that the forearm is parallel to the lifting arm. Velcro can be used to attach a keyboard to the tray, thereby allowing the user to stow the tray vertically, freeing up space and reducing clutter. With the tray folded up, the arm extends only 8.4” from the center of the mounting pin. The arm may be further folded by pushing the lifting arm back, depending on the workspace.
