Mounting Kit C: Flexible Mounting

USA ASSEMBLED MODULAR SERIES-118

REQUIRED ITEMS

  • Mounting Kit C offers flexible mounting for arms or stands
  • This kit can be configured in five different ways
  • Mount options: box edge, desk clamp, thru-desk, wall and reverse wall
  • Compatible with many Ergomart monitor arms and stands
  • See specifications for minimum and maximum clamp positions
  • Black, metallic gray and matte white are standard colors for this mount
  • Please call for custom color options - lead times may apply

This mount has a broad base plate and deep column, which makes it ideal for heavy-duty and long-reach arms.
Adding the Flexible Mount Kit C to standard-duty arms, such as the SAA7000 or the SAA2045, allows for use of extra lateral or heavy-duty extensions.
This mount is easily configured as a desk clamp, wall mount, or thru-desk mount.
Because this mounting kit often handles long reach or heavy loads, consider using a Heavy-Duty Wall Mount or a Heavy-Duty Thru-Desk Mount over the wall mount configured Flexible Mounting Kit C.

Compatible arms: SAA7000, SAA2010, SAA2045, SAA179, SAA2718, SAA2415, SAA4229, CMD2018, CMD2415, CMT2415.

MINIMUM CLAMP POSITION

If a table skirt or other obstruction runs along the underside of the surface, it must in most circumstances be 2.5" or more from the table edge using this configuration.

KIT-C - DESK CLAMP
MAXIMUM CLAMP POSITION

The above image depicts the L bracket reversed to allow clamping to a very thick surface. The short leg of the clamp can interfere with the desk edge so that the clamp can not fully engage the worksurface. Without interference, the maximum desk thickness is 3.45". Contact Ergomart if you have questions.

MINIMUM CLAMP POSITION

The L bracket can be attached to the mount with the longer side if the underside of the surface has a table skirt or obstruction that the standard configuration will interfere with. In this configuration the obstruction must be no less than 1.3" from the edge of the surface and the mounting surface no greater than 2.1" in thickness.

The reversed configuration can accommodate surface thicknesses from 1.8" to 2.83".

  • Will your mount kits work with 3rd party arms?

Typically, no, our mounts are designed specifically for Ergomart products. Contact Ergomart to determine if you would like assistance.

  • Is there a way that I remove my arm and just put the tilter head in to the mount kit?

No and Yes. Since the tilter head pin is a smaller size than the arm pin, you would not be able to do that without installing an adapter bushing into the mount. Contact Ergomart if you wish to purchase the adapter.

  • What’s the difference between your Mount Kit A and Mount Kit C? They look really alike.

"Mount Kit A is flexible in that it can be mounted in a variety of ways, (desk clamp, wall mount, thru-desk mount) but is for some of our monitor arms that only hold up to certain smaller weights. The arms it will support are: SAA7000, SAA2010, SAA2045, SAA179. It is frequently used in several LS pole mount arms as well.
Mount Kit C has the same flexible mounting options as Mount Kit A, but it is heavy duty and can support heavier arms/monitors and if you ever add extensions to your arms, it can is better suited to those as well. The arms it will support are: SAA7000, SAA2010, SAA2045, SAA179, SAA2718, SAA2415, SAA4228, SAA4229,CMD2018, CMD2415, CMT2415. Always contact an Ergomart representative if you have questions about selecting the most suitable combination of modular components."

  • How do I know if I should order an Mkit-A or an Mkit-C, I know Mkit C is heavier duty, but what specific metrics should I consider, and at what threshold is an Mkit-C actually necessary?

Contact an Ergomart representative for assistance in selecting the appropriate mounting solution. In most cases it is safe to assume that any arm that offers the MKIT-A as part of a solution is appropriate.

  • Why order the MOUNT KIT D Heavy Duty Wall mount over the wall mount configured Flexible mounts? How do I choose?

While the wall mount configured Flexible Mounting Kits work well with most arms and light to moderate payloads, the longer more heavy duty arms often perform better with Heavy Duty Wall Mount Kit D. Kit D provides a stronger mounting base which allows for heavier loads and reduces wobble and vibrations. Stability and reduced vibration are important when the arms have keyboard trays and the user keys at the end of the arm.
